Ganesh Vandana - A Prayer

Description
Lord Ganesha, one of the most widely worshipped deities in the Indian Hindu culture. It is considered auspicious to offer prayers and seek his blessings before beginning any activity as he is widely revered to be the remover of all obstacles, ensuring its success.

Retro Dance - “A tribute to Shammi Kapoor”

Description
Shammi Kapoor was known for his handsome looks, dance moves and sheer screen presence. Donned as the Indian ‘Elvis Presley’ he added flamboyance and shimmer to his bold and wild youthful roles in his early films. No other actor can be compared to him for his unique contribution to Indian cinema.

Songs- Dhani (Strings band from Pakistan), Strings are an internationally acclaimed pop rock band from Pakistan, Dhaani means light green, it came from a word called ‘Dhaan’ that is the outer covering of a raw grain of rice. The green color of that grain is called dhaani.

Description

Item Numbers is a musical performance that has little to do with the film in which it appears, but is presented to showcase beautiful dancing women to lend support to the marketability of the film. This is a performance showcasing dances from various “item numbers” from Bollywood movies.

A light hearted comedy showing the reaction of a family in a small town called Bareilly, India, to their daughter, Simran’s decision to marry an American. Simran who comes to America to fulfill her professional ambitions, falls in love here in Cleveland. What follows is a series of hilarious incidents, which converts the serenity of the Indian wedding into a chaotic ride for the bride and the groom.

Through a unique performance “The Light of India” group pays tribute to India - the nation, the  people, the culture, the traditions and the diversity. India, the world’s largest democracy with over 1.2 billion people is unified under different religions and an everlasting love for their motherland. They are performing on the national song of India “Vande Mataram” which means “I bow to thee, Mother”.

Those endless jubilant dance numbers in Bollywood movies pretty much channel the Indian soul. A Bollywood dance is all about finding a form of expression and enjoying to the fullest. No Bollywood film would be complete without many songs and dances. Bhangra is the percussion-heavy music that is featured in most Bollywood films. It has an irresistible beat that will motivate even the most dance-phobic types to hit the floor.
